1 there is an existing Exchange environment where organization admins are already defined
2 maybe you ticked the "role split" option during first time setup? it's an exchange2010 setup option where the person installing exchange can decide to split exchange organization administration from the enterprise and/or domain admins.

I can think of 2 probable causes:<br

I did all with my account, and never encountered that issue. I am in Organization Management, and don't remember putting myself into it, so wonder where things zigged for you that zagged for me.
Please let me know if you get a chance.
Thanks

This came up as one of the preq checks which meant I had to cancel the setup, add to the group, re-login and kick off setup again.

Great article, I just used this for my first Exch 2010 install and only found one catch: the account you install Exchange under must be a member of the “Organization Management” group in AD. You'll be fine with 2K3 on your DCs as long as they are all SP1 or later, and you have properly extended the schema and performed any required legacy permissioning. See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125224.aspx for the specifics on getting your AD good to go.

I am planning the rollout of EX2010 I upgraded our exisiting 2007 box to SP3. My problem is the pre-exisiting DC, GC server are 2k3. Under pre-reques MS stated that you can rollout 2010 in this environment is this true? Or will I encounter issues? Thanks.

Ed,<br

use this one:

also you may want to update this great post to Exh 2010 SP1 release.

Hi,

small comment: the link to the office filter pack is wrong (it points to office 2007 not office 2010 filters):<br
